How can I check if an item has been reported lost or found?

Use the search box to type in a short description of the item. For example, "Ginger Cat" or "Sony Camera". Any matching items will appear on the search results page listed in order of the most recently posted.

My item doesn't appear in the search results, now what?

It's time to add your item to lost.ie. Using the "I lost something" or "I found something" links you will be prompted to fill out some information about the lost or found item. It's description, where it was found or last seen and finally some contact information so users can reach you.

We have some nifty algorithms which analyse all new items added to the website. If a new lost item is added to the site which matches a previously added found item then users will receive a notification that a potential match has taken place. The same thing goes for newly added found items matching previously added lost items.

How do I remove my item from the site?

An email address is required to add an item to the site. When the item is added we will email you a link which when clicked will remove the item from the site.
